About Our Services: The Kennedy Center has committed to expand services, resources, and supports to families of children with an autistic spectrum disorder.  In order to meet their individual needs, the agency has initiated The Autism Project that is designed to increase and develop services to children, youth, adolescents, and young adults - birth through 21 years of age.  Five major service areas have been identified and included:  service coordination; support in community activities; financial assistance; information, referral, and support; and development of new services for unaddressed needs.

Present and Potential Services include:

  • Transition Planning
  • Support in Community Activities (to enable children to participate in social, sporting, or other community activities).
  • Financial Assistance (to help families obtain the services and products they need).
  • Information, referral, and support (to help families with the challenges they face and obtain the help they need).
  • Development of new services for unaddressed needs, particularly for teens.
